During Eurobike 2018 we took a look at the Conway eMF PT, a new E-Trailbike with 27.5”+ tyres. The brand new eMTB features a Bosch motor and fully integrated PowerTube battery. It looks good and has lots of well though-out details. You can find all the key information here.

A completely new E-Trailbike with 140mm travel
We previously reported on the new Conway eWME Modelle and now the manufacturer is adding even more models to its range. Conway is adding a completely new E-Trailbike with the eMF PT 27.5”+. The Bosch PowerTube 500 battery is neatly integrated into the downtube and an aluminium plate protects it when it’s in place. The motor mount is claimed to be even more secure than previous models, with the motor bolted directly to the frame.
The eMF PT will be available in three different versions, though all of them will be fitted with plus-tyres. We took the time to speak to Tom Farbacher at Eurobike. The frame designer for Conway spoke to us about the highlights of this new platform.
On the trail – First Impressions
We were able to take the eMF PT out for a short test ride so have some initial impressions of how it rides. The 140mm travel E-Trailbike has a striking paint job and rolls happily and comfortably across a variety of terrain. Following the example of other Conway models, the eMF PT has a relatively steep 67-degree head angle. This provides quick handling and easy direction changes in difficult terrain. The 480mm chainstays allows for excellent uphill performance. The front wheel only starts to lift when things get excessively steep and you just need to adjust your position on the bike to quash any unruliness and get maximum traction. All in all, the Conway eMF PT makes a very good impression, but we’ll be doing a more thorough test soon.

Conway eMS / eMC Kid’s E-Bike
A further addition to the range is the Conway eMC kid’s E-Bike. It is based around a similar geometry to the unpowered kid’s bikes and comes fitted with lights, mudguards and racks. The E-Bike is powered by the Bosch Active Plus system and a 400Wh battery. The eMS model comes without the lights, mudguards or racks making it more suited for dedicated off-road use.
The RST Snyper forks are claimed to provide good sensitivity which is perfect for the lighter-weight riders it will be supporting. Likewise the disc brakes with 160mm rotors feature child friendly brake levers.

Conway eMS 27,5″ / 29″ E-Hardtail
The eMS E-Hardtail is the integrated version of Conway’s eMS/eMC platform. The E-Hardtail is offered in a variety of configurations. Customers will be able to choose between a traditional diamond or step-through frame. The spec options range from E-Citybike with mudguards, lights and racks to an off-road focused E-Hardtail.
The frame is suited for anything from 100 to 120mm travel and is ready to take a dropper post if required — a pre-fitted cable will make installation of a dropper easy to do.

With the eMF PT 27.5”+ Conway has introduced an E-Trailbike with 140mm travel, Bosch Performance CX Motor and fully integrated Bosch PowerPack 500 battery. The newly designed frame provides a solid chassis and makes a positive impression. Our first ride showed us an E-Bike that was easy to handle and quick to steer on a variety of trails and terrain.
We love that customers have the choice of two kids E-Bikes in the form of the eMS and eMC. This will allow them to fit the bike to their needs. “S” stands for Sport and “C” stands for City.
What do you think of these new models from Conway? Interesting updates or just run of the mill?
