I initially installed single-finger levers as well at the mt5. I wasn't satisfied with the ergonomics or braking power, so I switched to
Shimano XT levers, essentially converting to Shigura. The ergonomics were much improved, but the braking performance was still nowhere near what I was used to from the
Shimano XT four-piston brakes. The constant brake rub and frequent caliper adjustments weren't fixed either. In the end, I switched back to
Shimano. I'd do it again today, or maybe upgrade to Maven or Hayes.
