Was hältst du vom kabellosen Dropper-Post-Upgrade von OnlyMotion?

Die Idee ist eigentlich super aber meine Meinung nach sehr eingeschränkt einsetzbar beim Hartteil könnte gut funktionieren und beim Fullys (kurze Sitzrohr/Dämpfer geschuldet) eher weniger und wer verzichtet freiwillig 5Cm vom Beinfreiheit um Elek. den Sattel absenken zu können. Ich nicht !!!

Hi everyone,

After much reflection, we’ve decided to end our Kickstarter campaign early and will not be proceeding with production at this time.

This isn’t a decision we’ve taken lightly. Over the past year, we’ve poured our energy into developing a unique product and bringing it to life with a level of performance and reliability we were truly proud of. Our prototypes were tested in the harshest conditions and were ready to move into wireless certification and tooling. We were that close.

But Kickstarter was never just about funding for us, it was about validating the market. Unfortunately, the response has made it clear that our product doesn’t fit the current needs of enough riders to be viable at scale. Based on our projections, we would have needed to sell at least 1,000 units in our first batch to make production sustainable. We’re nowhere near that threshold.

Several factors contributed. First of all, it's the worst timing ever for a Canadian company to market a product that was suppose to sell mostly in the USA. While we tried to simplify installation as much as possible, the need to route a charge cable and the added post length seemed to be deal breakers for many. We also suspect that American tariffs played a role which complicates pricing and perception. We can’t lock in a fair retail price without knowing our material costs, and that’s a risk we’re not comfortable passing on to our backers.

We want to sincerely thank everyone who supported us, gave feedback, and shared our vision. Even though this chapter is closing, we’ve learned a lot and we’re walking away proud of what we built. That wouldn’t have been possible without you.

Is this project for sale?

Yes. While it may not be ideally suited for direct-to-consumer sales, it could still be a valuable solution for other applications. A shorter version for e-bikes (no actuator battery), integrated by OEMs, is one possibility, perhaps even a completely different use case. The technology is solid and patented. Warum sollte ich ü 100€ für eine Sache ausgeben die eine funktionierende Stütze schwerer macht und ich noch den Kram verlegen muss! Dann kann ich mir doch gleich eine Richtige kaufen.

Der Artikel ist vor etwas einem Monat bei mtb-news erschienen, von Dennis Haas. Dort gibt's auch ne längere Diskussion über Sinn oder Unsinn des Produktes.
Warum der Artikel erst jetzt hier erschienen ist, kann ich auch nicht sagen. Vlt irgendein Veröffentlichungsdatum falsch gesetzt oder ähnliches?

Falsch gesetzt? Das hat doch Tradition hier Wiedergänger zu produzieren um den Eindruck zu erzeugen es gäb was neues. Das ganze ohne Quellencheck - pfui.
