It's winter, it's dark and the time to go ride is much reduced, but we still want to ride. We can use lights of course and a handy feature of all e-bike motors is the ability to be able to power them and switch them on from the control interface. We wanted to know how to mount them on a bike, so Light and Motion took us through the basic steps required to install wired lights that run off the e-bike battery on a popular Bosch motor and battery system.

All those who taken the time to visit the article have seen it. This is not a job you gonna do on the sidewalk. You need special bike tools, shrinking tube and a heat gun, soldering iron, a park tool stand - and some handyness paired with experience. Only few readers might have all together. Nevertheless, they start bashing each other because of things like plugging in a plug causes a loss of warranty.

Finally, they miss the point: The dealer must activate the lighting socket. Why should he do this, if he can't get any earnings (i.g. from the installation work)?

Personally, I thinks it's sad to see how a really useful article is flooded with nonconstructive content.
